Opinion: Full Metal Jacket is a film that somehow show us how is the mentality of an American soldier but in a historic context , The Vietnam War . We can see clearlythe transition of typical citizen to a Killing machine, literally, and a big change at mental level. The film shows American soldiers proud of his nation and with a big internalized nationalism who see in the massacre of Vietnamese folk a favor for the good of mankind.
Why is this film important?
It is because shows how the war and its consequences are so devastating, both for winners and losers , other thing that is interesting is the way that the film can expose the fragility of life , companied by notable soundtracks .
